Outdoor Season - 2026 Information and registration

Welcome to the 2026 Season at Western Spirit, FQ's Community Club of the Year.

Registration is a 3-step process:
1️⃣ Step 1 – OPEN NOW: Register with Western Spirit via our website.
2️⃣ Step 2 – OPENS 1 JAN 2026: Register with Football Australia (Play Football).
3️⃣ Step 3 – OPENS 1 JAN 2026: Register with Football Queensland (Squadi).

All three steps must be completed and fees paid to be eligible to play in 2026.

Fees Frozen at 2025 rates.
Thanks to our amazing sponsors, canteen legends, and bar heroes, we’ve kept 2026 registration fees at 2025 prices until 31 January. (Yes, we’ve grown, yes, GST is now a thing for us, so there’s a tiny bump to cover — but still great value!) From 1 February 2026, there’ll be an additional small increase — so take advantage of the saving by registering early. Note: A deposit must be paid by 31 January to lock in the 2025 rate.

BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH YOUR REGISTRATION PLEASE READ THROUGH THE DETAILS BELOW.

To align with Football Queensland and Football Australia processes your registration for the 2026 season will be completed in three separate steps.

Step 1 - (EARLY ACCESS OPEN) Register with Western Spirit by selecting Register Now button on this page. Once registered you'll then be directed to a registration link for Squadi.

Step 2 - (AVAILABLE 1 JAN 2026) Register on Football Queensland's Squadi platform. Registering is mandatory, and all Football Queensland fees must be paid upfront before you are eligible to play in 2026.

Step 3 - (AVAILABLE 1 JAN 2026) Register on Football Australia's platform. Again, registering is mandatory, and all fees must be paid upfront before you are eligible to play in 2026.

Registration assistance sessions for new players and parents will be held in early 2026 — keep an eye on our socials for dates!

The fees listed below are the club component ONLY (including GST). A full breakdown of fees is detailed in our registration guide (link above). The final Spirit registration cost is calculated at checkout.

You can set up a payment plan for Spirit fees whilst completing your online registration, simply click on Apply for a Payment Plan & follow the prompts. It's a great way to pay off your fees before the season starts.

Please note the Spirit fees paid in Step 1 do not include Football Queensland (FQ) or Football Australia (FA) fees payable directly to FQ and FA during step 2 and step 3 of registration when they open from 1 January 2026.

Western Spirit has a strict NO PAY, NO PLAY POLICY.

Players will not be assigned to a team until the deposit is paid, and players will be unable to take the field, or receive any club kit or merchandise until all registration fees (or an approved payment plan) to the Club, FQ and Football Australia are paid in full.

Western Spirit is an approved activity provider for Play On Vouchers which can be used to contribute towards your fees. Please check the website to see if you are eligible - https://www.qld.gov.au/recreation/sports/funding/playon

Once fully financial (all fees paid) every player will receive a training shirt, shorts & socks. In addition, all miniroos players receive an end of season medallion, and every player junior & senior will receive a team photo.

Please note the age your child plays in for 2026 is the age they turn that year i.e. if your child is born in 2016 they will play in U10's for the 2026 season.
